H.E. Arthur Peter Mutharika

Dr. Joyce R. Aryee

Dr. Joyce R. Aryee is the Founder of Salt & Light Ministries, a Christian parachurch organisation and an avid promoter of Ghanaian classical and choral compositions. Dr. Aryee served as the Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Chamber of Mines. An accomplished management and communication consultant and a Professional Counsellor, Dr. Aryee has dedicated over forty years of her time to private and public sector services in Ghana. She is expected to kick off the ABLI 2016 forum on a positive note by speaking about Celebrating the Good in Africa.

Justice Dr. Catherine Bamugemereire

Justice Dr. Catherine Bamugemereire is an anticorruption judge at the High Court of Uganda. She previously worked as a lecturer of criminal, commercial and foundational law at the University of Surrey, UK. She obtained her LLB and LLM degrees from Makerere Univeristy, Uganda and Southern Methodist University, Texas, USA. Her keynote address will focus on the issue of Integrity in Public Office.

Miss Caren Wakoli

Miss Caren Wakoli is the Founder and Executive Director of Emerging Leaders Foundation (ELF), an organization that works to develop the next generation of leaders in East Africa through leadership, training, and mentorship. ELF has trained 500 university student leaders, and has reached over 3,000 students through motivational talks in schools. She holds Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from the University of Nairobi. Miss Wakoli will talk about the Challenges and Opportunities in Youth Leadership in Africa.

Mr. Samuel Makome

Mr. Samuel Makome is a Chief Business Officer of the Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) group. Previously he worked as an Associate at IFS School of Finance. Dr. Makome was also employed as a Managing Director by Equity Bank Tanzania Ltd. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Nairobi and a graduate degree from International Leadership University. He will be speaking on The Relevance of the biblical concept of Stewardship to the Domain of Finances.

 

Joanna Williamson

Mr. Ayub Mohamud

Mr. Ayub Mohamud is a Kenyan teacher of Somali decent. Mr Mohamud has made a name for himself for his efforts in tackling radicalization and violent extremism in his community. His work has made him one of only 10 teachers around the world – and the only African – to make it to the short-list for the Global Teacher's Prize, the $1million award for excellence in teaching. He will be talking about Peaceful Coexistence among Religiously Diverse Communities.
